Our History

Nick's Pizza has been serving delicious, homemade pizza since 1977, when founders Nick and Joan England opened their first location in the small Ohio town of Somerset. As their reputation for quality food and friendly service grew alongside their family, they decided to expand their beloved pizza shop. In 1992, Nick's Pizza found its permanent home in Lancaster, Ohio, where we continue to serve the community today.

After 35 years of dedicated service, Nick and Joan retired in 2012, passing the family legacy to their son, Adam. Under his leadership, we remain committed to the same values that have defined Nick's Pizza from the beginning: quality ingredients, authentic recipes, and deep community connections. As a true mom and pop shop, being part of the Lancaster community means everything to us. We actively support local youth programs and churches throughout the year, but perhaps our most meaningful tradition is our annual Christmas Eve breakfast. For over two decades, we've closed our regular business operations on Christmas Eve morning to open our doors to anyone who might need a warm meal, a hot cup of coffee, or simply a friendly smile. This special day has become one of our favorite traditions at Nick's, embodying our belief that a family business should truly serve as an extension of the community it calls home.
